Workshop Details

Private photo workshop in Venice exclusively focusing on the magic of powerful black and white photography!

Within one to three days of private photo workshop you will discover a whole new world from photo concept, to shooting, to post processing. Benefit from personal tutoring in a 1on1 learning experience. On top you will take home outstanding black & white photos of Venice.

The workshop will be designed to meet your needs and wishes whether more fine art shooting, or more theory and concept, more focus on post processing, or more on creating a portfolio – however you prefer. Or you simply trust my years long experience of private coaching, ensuring your personal photo workshop to be a fine balanced mix of all. Choose to have all attention on you or bring along up to three friends to share costs.

Opting for a one day course (2400€ – approx. 15 hours) we will explore Venice on and off the beaten track with the camera, hunting for interesting black and white captures to take back home with you. We will talk about the concept of black and white shooting, about how to “see” black and white images, and how to best convert and post process your captures.

The two day workshop (3900€ – approx. 30 hours) allows us to not just shoot more great black and white photos in Venice, but also we will have plenty of time for deepening your knowledge of different color to bw photo conversion techniques, as well as post processing techniques for black and white photos. Your eye will learn to see great photo opportunities and to evaluate whether an idea works as a photo or not. We will learn to find the right angle to make a photo stick out.  In short: with the two day workshop your photography skills in general as well as your black and white shooting skills will be taken to a whole new level – promised!

In a three day workshop (4900€ – approx. 45 hours) of private tutoring we will have time to get into real concept photography, whether it is for a series, a portfolio, or an exhibition. Your b&w shooting and post processing in photoshop will be catapulted to stellar levels. We will give each field creativity, planning, shooting technique, as well as mastering post processing a high share of attention. After learning you will also be given time to shoot on your own if you like with having your work reviewed afterwards to maximize the learning effect. and photo output. In case you already have a topic in mind or want to create a portfolio, just let me know and we’ll plan together.

Choose your favored workshop duration and send me a quick availability request with your travel dates. I will get back to you shortly.

We love to believe in the value of change.

Destruction gives place to new.

New often mistaken for better.

Nature, monuments, traditions – nothing sacred.

No questions. No balance.

Today’s Holy Grail is money.

Emotions and senses vanish.

Lost vocabulary: dignity and respect.

Priceless universal goods traded for profit.

Temptations plentiful.

Consequences are ignored.

Our grandchildren will hold us responsible.

Acting today impacts the future.

We shall better preserve.

We shall better take care.

Irreversible destruction is everlasting.
